Wright Brothers to Concorde and Beyond
(3-parts, 50 Minutes, Available on DVD & VHS [NTSC only])

Part 1: The Story of Commercial Aviation
An incredible overview of the history of commercial aviation, told at a pace and with plenty of action to keep any viewer fascinated. This is the same video series featured in the San Diego Aerospace Museum's all new Commercial Aviation Exhibit. It's fascinating and fast moving. The story is told in three 7 minute "chapters" featuring the early years of first airmail, and right up to the 40s. The second chapter takes the story through the turbulent years of WWII up to the jet age. The great 4 engine airliners of the 40s and early 50s fly in all their glory. The third chapter is about the jet age and shows the progression from the first commercial jet, the DeHaviland Comet, to all the Boeings; 707 through 777, Concorde, Douglas DC-8, even Convair's 880 & 990, the Lockheed L1011, and Airbus. The story includes September 11th and its impact on commercial aviation. An all-original music score adds drama to accent the stunning flight scenes.

Part 2: P-51 Mustang In Action
The P-51 Mustang is considered the best looking and certainly one of the best performing fighters of WWII. This video features action and combat footage of P-51's in action. The dynamic music track supports a narration which tells about the P-51 and its role. Great flying, solid music and just enough facts to keep it interesting but not get in the way of the aerial ballet of P-51's. The Mustang was the aircraft flown by the legendary Tuskegee Airmen of WWII, the first squadron of African American fighter pilots.

Part 3: Great Flying Scenes
This part is a compilation of some outstanding aircraft footage out of the archives, combined with some of the best work from director Fred Ashman. Aerial sequences shot with Clay Lacy introducing the new Learjet 60 and the Galaxy Business Jet (now the Gulfstream 200) are combined with phenomenal shots from productions shot for American Airlines. From the 70mm giant screen films for American's C.R. Smith Museum (named after American's legendary chairman) to shots for promotional films and commercials, the series of sequences is set to original music scores created for "Dream of Flight" and "Spirit of American." "Pure fun and entertainment." Worth watching over and over, just for the fun of it.
