Challenge:
To create Pizza Hut's first long-format, internal branding video to motivate the younger generation of employees, as well as the more experienced, professional franchise owners. This piece needed to distinguish itself from the typical, dry corporate video to reflect Pizza Hut's colorful and "in your face style" external branding. It also had to relay messaging targeted at improving attitudes and comprehension of both younger employees and franchise owners.

Solution:
Relying on sarcasm and humor, Multi Image paired a "smart-aleck kid" character voice with a dry, corporate spokesman voice, played by the renowned voice-over talent, Gary Owens. Using clever scripting, the finished piece sang the virtues of working for Pizza Hut while simultaneously providing credibility and creating excitement about being part of the Pizza Hut family. The video won a 2001 CINE Golden Eagle Award as well as a Silver Award from the 2001 WorldFest Houston International Film Festival, and was such a success, Pizza Hut awarded Multi Image with additional contracts, including live event production for their major shows, meetings and awards programs, as well as an internal marketing campaign.
